Artist Spotlight: DaVionne

Nineteen-year-old Augusta, Georgia native, DaVionne, is the perfect combination of her musical influences: Corinne Bailey Rae, Young Thug and Rihanna; so you know to expect something never heard before… and that’s what DaVionne is all about. The platinum selling artist began her long-rooted journey in music at the age of eight and has developed her distinct artistry, garnering herself industry buzz through her independently released work and appearance on J. Cole’s #1 collaborative album ‘Revenge of the Dreamers III’.

In 2018, DaVionne released her highly anticipated EP ‘Everything In Between’ and soon after, ramped up features in notable publications such as The Shade Room, Sheen Magazine, Voyage ATL and Hype Magazine. The “Georgia peach” dropped the surprise EP titled ‘Exe’s and Oh’s’ at the end of the year and stated the project allowed her to transparently express who she is, along with the struggles that she has overcome. Her ability to be relatable and tackle subjects that individuals of all ages can relate to has been her greatest strength.

This year DaVionne has held a full schedule, participating to numerous efforts such as the Dreamville Writers Camp in Atlanta, Georgia; where she recorded several tracks alongside 342 other talented artists and was selected amongst 35 artists to contribute towards the final collaboration project. DaVionne was featured on track eight, “Sleep Deprived”, which currently has over one million views on YouTube and landed the budding-star her first Platinum record. To show appreciation for her 30k+ Instagram followers, DaVionne released the single “Best Friends” on all major platforms and receives over 10k monthly streams. Her latest appearance was as a panelist on Soundcloud’s 2019 A3C stage, mentoring over 100 aspiring artists and offering industry advice and guidance.
