Unwritten TV is an independent entertainment publication covering music, hip-hop, celebrity culture, and the stories that shape pop culture. We exist for readers who want to go deeper than headlines.

We started Unwritten TV because the entertainment beat had become a numbers game. Aggregators racing to repost the same press release. Algorithms rewarding speed over substance. Real reporting buried under listicles.

We are not the biggest publication on the internet. We don’t try to be. What we do is care about the stories we publish. We give writers space to think. We pay attention to the artists, scenes, and moments that the algorithm tends to sleep on.

What we cover

Music. New releases, album reviews, artist interviews, and the genre conversations happening across hip-hop, R&B, pop, and beyond. We cover what’s dropping this week and what was overlooked five years ago.

Hip-Hop. From mainstream chart movements to underground scenes. Beef trackers, freestyle culture, label politics, and the ongoing evolution of one of the most influential genres in the world.

Celebrities. Red carpet coverage, profile pieces, candid moments, and the cultural conversations celebrities ignite. We focus on the people, not the gossip mill.

Culture. Long-form essays on the intersections of music, fashion, race, gender, identity, and entertainment. The pieces that take a week to write and stay relevant for a year.

Editorial standards

Our writers are real people with real bylines. We don’t publish AI-generated content. We don’t reprint press releases without context. We disclose conflicts of interest. We correct mistakes openly.

Every story is reviewed before publication. When we get something wrong, we fix it visibly and credit the correction.

Our team

Unwritten TV is a small team of writers and editors based across the United States. Our contributors include Jordan Reyes, Maya Carter, and Alex Brennan, alongside guest writers and freelance contributors. Each writer brings their own beat, voice, and reporting style.
